Nutrition Facts Tables

If you would like to have a nutrition facts table completed, please note we require a minimum of the following information:

  • Recipe with ingredients and measure, method of processing (e.g. baked, fried), and yield (e.g. 16 loaves)
  • Net contents of packaging (e.g. 500g, 8oz), information to determine serving size (e.g. 16 slices per loaf, one slice weighs 1 oz)

On December 14, 2016, Health Canada introduced changes to the Food and Drug Regulations regarding nutrition and ingredient labelling, including nutrition facts tables.

The food industry has until Dec 14, 2021 to adopt the new labelling standards. See here for more information.
